Independence: a word as beautiful as the rising sun

Oh ho. Some fan art.

I just love these 2 characters and their relationship. It's such a complex marvel, really, from their parent-child days to the independence of the U.S. and to the present day.

I don't really like too many capital letters so the words in the image are lower case if I can help it, and even if I can't. Can initials be in lower case?

I have the image in colour in my computer but since I have deemed the colours too bright and glaring I decided to go for a more monochrome effect. All I did was add another layer and whazzam, there we go.

Falling rain would have been a nice addition to the image but I fail at backgrounds and I fail at rain. Also, the wet patches on their clothes shouldn't be shining like they're made of plastic, but ah, whatever, in my mind, water has an extremely high viscosity. =)

Hmm, as for interpretation of this image...well, there's not much to imagine; I've pretty much stated the main emotion present in the short text to the left of Alfred and Arthur.

Click 'download' to see the tears on Alfred's face (because honestly, I can't really see them at all even when this image fills my screen).

whoa, I really like this. The lighting and shadows really convey the title very well. Somehow I really like the divider too..and the black background that reminds me of clouds billowing across the horizon. :)

Ah yes, and I'm just famous for pairing up any 2 random male characters from just about any fandom (cross my fingers and hope they have shorter versions of their names to make writing the pairing easier).

*rolls eyes*

By gum, how does that look shounen-ai? They're wearing army uniforms! ...okay, doubtful cause, but whatever...

Oh, and yes yes, I do quite like the monochrome effect myself. =) *egos*
